Pietro Pirelli is a composer, percussionist, sound and light artist. He composes music, invents instruments, explores the sounds of every material, creates installations, transforms sound into images. He has produced works across Europe, Israel, India, Korea, the United States and Japan. He brings materials like water, stone and metal in a contemporary context. Setting up his sound stations, he has trespassed into sculpture, set design, and ultimately creates visual works originating from sound.

The artist created a connection between sound, light and water to generate visual melodies. He recorded everyday noises and sounds in the city, which was then connected to a surface containing water and crossed by a light. The surface, reacting and moving with the sound waves, created luminous shapes on the surface itself.
